World Missions Day – February 28th
World Missions Day is February 28th!! Over 900 missionaries in approximately 82 countries of the world are counting on us and our churches to make God’s global mission a priority in our worship, prayers, and giving on that day and throughout the year.
It is vital for BMA Global Missions that we have a very good World Missions Day offering this year. Seventy percent of this offering goes to pay missionary salaries, 20% goes to missionary care and things such as mission:world magazine, and 10% is used for needs on the field such as international literature, seminaries, Bible institutes, language school, and passage to and from the field. The trend over the past several years has been for local churches to turn more inwardly with their giving. We pray that God will use World Missions Day 2016 as an opportunity for our churches to refocus on the need to spend a large portion of our finances on reaching people on the outside rather than pleasing people on the inside.
There is plenty of time for you to challenge your church to give on February 28th! We ask that each of your families receive an annual prayer calendar to help guide them through daily prayer for our missionaries.
